Technical cookies (necessary)
These are essential for the site to function: authentication, keeping your session active, the interface language, and remembering your cookie preferences. They do not require consent under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE; that is why the language cookie (arst_lang) is already set on your first visit, before you answer the banner — without it the server cannot serve the page in your language. Two of the entries in the table, arst_cookie_consent and arst_pdf_downloaded, are not strictly cookies: they are kept in your browser’s local storage and never sent to the server. We declare them anyway, because Article 22.2 covers any data stored on your device.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to anonymously measure how the site is used: pages visited, session duration, and traffic source. This information helps us improve the service, nothing more.
Data is transferred to Google LLC (USA) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has declared adequate (Decision 2023/1795). You can read Google’s privacy policy.
